The designer
Trained in a historic atelier with over a century of tradition, she refined her artistry in London's leading fashion houses, including the renowned Philip Treacy atelier, creating hats for royal families and distinguished clients worldwide. She later became Head Milliner at Jane Taylor, bringing exceptional craftsmanship and timeless elegance to her own Maria Monica London creation.

Standard UK delivery is complimentary on every order. Express UK delivery is available for 6.99 if you need your piece sooner.
Hat fit is measured around the head, so run a soft tape around your forehead just above the ears and note the figure in centimetres. Email that measurement to mariamonicamilliner@gmail.com and we will confirm the right size for the design you want.
Made to order and bespoke commissions take six to twelve weeks from confirmation. Begin as early as you can before your event so there is time for fittings and finishing.
The private service is an in-person appointment with Monika, where she advises on shape, colour and proportion for your occasion and outfit. It is the way to commission bespoke and to be fitted by the milliner herself.
The Royal Enclosure requires a hat or a headpiece with a solid base of at least 10cm in diameter. Fascinators are not permitted in the Royal Enclosure.
Keep your piece in its hatbox, away from direct sunlight and damp, so the shape and trims hold. The insured hatbox your order arrives in is made for exactly this.
Monika Perlinska is the founder and maker of Maria Monica London and a master milliner with thirty-five years at the craft. She makes every piece herself in the atelier.
